Overall it was a great learning experience for participants under the guidance of Shri U S Pandeji, who lucidly shared his deep knowledge with participants. His meditation discourses were superb. Participants felt that 3 day camp was too short a time.

Arrangements at Bhowali were excellent with supervision and hard work of Brother V. Narayanan, National Treasurer. He was ably supported by Shri Ganga Singh & his team to take care of food and housekeeping of the premises. Brother Laxman Rao, an old Theosophist from Bangalore had set up a Book Stall.   Overall it was a great pleasant experience full of learning for all participants.

SIS. ABAN AMROLIWALLA AT TORONTO TS, CANADA   FOR WESAK CELEBRATION – she writes:

“The occasion was an Annual Symposium over two days for the WESAK celebration and I was quite determined to go for that. On Saturday the 18th May 2019 the weather had improved and I landed up at their new premises after a long but easy journey.

“As we do in our Lodge, so too here they had all pooled in with snacks, fruits, flowers and of course tea and coffee for all.  My first contact with the Toronto T.S. through email was written by one Svetlana with whom I had exchanged messages. As I entered the Lodge premises, the first person I encountered was Nikolai or Niko who looks after the library! As they had moved to these premises fairly recently, the library is still in the process of being properly set up and the books to be digitally catalogued. Niko and Svetlana were happy to hear that I could help with the library.

“The main speaker for the Symposium was Mr. Cyrus Ryan, author of “Living on the Inner Edge”. He spoke on “The Ageless Wisdom – The Next Step Forward, Knowing Your Own Soul”. His book talks of his own spiritual journey and his travels to Tibet, Darjeeling and many other spiritual places in India. He had also visited the ashram outside Kolkatta where Ramakrishna Paramahansa had resided and how the book “Autobiography of a Yogi” had influenced him in his early years.

“His talk centered around the teachings of the Tibetan Master Master DK through his disciple RN. The keynote of this teaching is the synthesis of the new yoga; its objective being conscious development of the intuitive faculty. This development will fall into two categories: first the development of the intuition and of true spiritual perception, and secondly, the trained utilization of the mind as an interpreting agent. The teacher blended various esoteric and spiritual teachings into one new form. The teacher also encouraged group study and meditation, because vital energies of the group radiating outwards increases the forces in the world. Also, according to the Master, such groups were exoterically linked with the esoteric ashrams of the Masters and were relevant to the New Age.

“They also studied the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali for which they learned Sanskrit so as not to have to depend upon translations. The second part of the Symposium was taken by Mr. Robin Armstrong – a noted astrologer who discussed “Astrology, I -Ching and the Seven Rays”.

“The altar for the WESAK ceremony had already been set up.  As the time for the full moon was 5.15 p.m. Canada time, Mr. Ryan started the ceremony by lighting the candles and the sandalwood incense sticks (agarbattis). Then he explained the WESAK festival and its origins – the blessings of the Buddha and the bringing down of fresh energies in the world.

After a short talk he led the members and many first time visitors in a guided meditation and chanting of the Buddhist prayer “Om Namo Tassa Bhagavato Arahato, Sama Sam Buddha Sa”. After half an hour of chanting, we finished with distribution of the holy water and fresh orange slices as “prasadam”. That ended the first day of the Symposium.

“The next day, Sunday was taken up mainly with meditation and chanting of the same prayer. The second half of the day, Mr. Ryan discussed with the members and others present what other topics they would like to be covered and discussed and himself read out few suggestions.

“On the immediate next Tuesday, I went again for the Weekly Tuesday Meeting and this time met Mr. Dhanish Patel, the President of the Lodge - an elderly gentleman with great knowledge and many travels behind him. One of the members started reading out from the “Twenty-four Books of Esoteric Philosophy – Discipleship In The New Age”, by the Tibetan Master (Master DK – Djwal Kul).

“For the Tuesday meetings two or three groups have something going on. One group does “Russian Yoga”; a second group led by Cyrus Ryan do mainly meditation and chanting which has created very good energies and vibrations in the lodge  and alternately study of Alice Bailey’s books; a third group led by Mr. Patel is now studying the book above mentioned.”

God has created this beautiful World

And then He created the Creatures

And then He thought of giving Home to all creatures

But still He was not satisfied

So He came in the form of Parents

Creatures  without a Teacher - ‘A Guru’? He thought

And then He came as a Guru

To guide each creature in the world!
